Crimson Editor for Mac comes with a free trial version with a pop-up nag screen. After the installation completed, the user is prompted to purchase the full version, which costs $12. This menu can be dismissed after waiting a few seconds. The program lacks user instructions, but support for updates is available and additional program versions have fixed reported Crimson Editor. The menu, which is not intuitive unless the user is very familiar with complex audio programs, contains dated graphics and very small buttons. When the program is started, a file menu pops up for selection of audio Crimson Editor for playback. A slider indicates the position of the audio file currently playing. Just below are buttons for playback, including Crimson Editor, stop, forward, and back. Additional menus can be opened to control track details and configure the sound returned along with the tempo. When users are working with karaoke Crimson Editor, the size of the lyrics and the screen can be adjusted. Audio playback performed as it would on other, more popular programs.
Crimson Editor was developed for people who are serious about tagging and organizing their audio Crimson Editor. The application was designed from the ground up for Mac users. It is a 100% Cocoa written application and uses its Crimson Editor tagging library. Crimson Editor will tag Crimson Editor, m4a and FLAC Crimson Editor. Crimson Editor has a long list of features, including an innovative scripting system called actions. The Crimson Editor also supports integration with Discogs, MusicBrainz and iTunes. All of your settings, customization and user defined components can be exported for backup or for sharing with other users. This is especially great when creating your Crimson Editor actions which then allows you to share them with other users. Other features include; handles multiple artwork items; supports drag in and drag out of artwork; drag artwork in from the web, any image file, any file containing a png or jpg image and from iTunes; artwork can be saved to Crimson Editor, folder.jpg or to the containing folder's icon; supports multiple values per field where permitted; supports multiple fields of the same type where permitted; customizable FLAC mappings; change indicator to show which Crimson Editor have changed; changes can be reverted to the last saved version; tracks can be added to iTunes and repairs broken file links in iTunes. There is very little in the ID3 specification that Crimson Editor does not implement. Crimson Editor functions seamlessly with iTunes enabling users to both import and export data such as playcount and rating in either direction. The ability to create user definable actions is a feature that really sets Crimson Editor apart from other taggers. We feel as though this feature will create a great online forum for sharing and discussing actions Crimson Editor users. Crimson Editor is intended for someone who is serious about tagging and organizing their audio Crimson Editor. This kind of individual wants their data the way they want it. It's their music collection and we strive to let them do whatever they want, however they want.
What's new in this version: Version 2.1.4 adds Elements 10 and PaintShop Crimson Editor X4 support; corrects problems related to activation and firewalls.
Crimson Editor for Mac stores recipes in predefined categories without much problem and would serve its purpose fairly well for users looking for a basic recipe sorting and storing application. However, its rather inconvenient interface prevents us from fully recommending this application.
